J.K. Rowling just burned Westboro Baptist Church via Twitter and she didn’t even have to use a redactor curse. The “Harry Potter” author recently took to social media to celebrate the news that Ireland became the first country in the world to legalize same-sex marriage just last week. “Sitting here watching the Irish make history,” she wrote. With all the excitement from fans, the author shared a meme stating that Dumbledore and Gandalf from “Lord of the Rings” should tie the knot in Ireland. It wasn’t long before hate speech began and Westboro Baptist Church, a group known for picketing people from the gay community and solder’s funerals, shared its opinions on the matter. “So @jk_rowling wants Dumbledore & Gandalf to marry in Ireland; if it happens, WBC will picket,” the religious group wrote on a college that included images of a child holding a “God H8S F** marriage” poster and an image that read “God Hates Ireland.” Rowling responded to the hate group’s strong-worded comments against the fictional characters with one simple tweet. “@WBCsigns Alas, the sheer awesomeness of such a union in such a place would blow your tiny bigoted minds out of your thick sloping skulls,” she wrote. Someone get Westboro Baptist Church some burn-healing paste stat.
